Dear Gilbert Elementary School Families,

Here's a look at what's happening at Gilbert Elementary this week:

Hold onto your swimsuits, Gilbert Elementary families! With just two full days and two half days left, the finish line of another incredible school year is almost in sight!  This year has been a rollercoaster – a whirlwind of learning, laughter, challenges overcome, and celebrations galore. We've embarked on wild adventures in the classroom, explored new subjects, and grown together as a school community.  We're incredibly proud of all that our students have accomplished, and we're so grateful for your continued support throughout the year.

Family Technology Connections Newsletter:

As summer approaches, it's a great time to get on the same page about technology use at home. You'll find some fantastic resources in the May/June edition of our Family Technology Connections newsletter. This issue dives into keeping your students safe online, offers tips on managing summer screen time, and even explores how technology can be used to promote well-being!  Look for the newsletter in your email, click on the link in this message, or download it from the school website.

Important End-of-Year Information:

• May 22nd & 23rd: Half Days: School dismissal will be at 11:20 AM on both days.

• May 23rd: Last Day for Students: This is the official last day of school for our students!

• May 23rd: Feedback Driven Progress Reports (FDPRs) Go Home: Keep an eye out for your child's FDPR on the last day of school. These reports provide valuable insights into your child's progress this year.

• Lost and Found: Don't forget to check Lost and Found before we close for summer! Any unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the year.

• Medicine Pickup: Please pick up any remaining student medication from the school nurse before the last day.

• Library Books: It's time to return those library books! Help your child wrap up the year by returning all borrowed books.

• 4K Application and 5K Enrollment  is open - spread the word to friends and neighbors so we can continue planning for next school year.

School Reminders:

• Parking: Please refrain from parking in the emergency lanes or handicapped spots without a permit.

• Drop-off: Students arriving after 7:40 AM must be walked to the secured entrance and signed in by an adult.

• Early Dismissal: The early dismissal cut-off time is 1:50 PM.

• Transportation Changes: Please notify the front office of any transportation changes by 1:30 PM.

• Visitors: All visitors must ring the doorbell at the secured entrance and present valid ID.
