Walk to School Day October 3

Gilbert Elementary School students will walk from the LCRAC football field on Broad Street to GES on Wednesday, October 3. The football field is located across the street from the Gilbert-Summit branch of the Lexington County Public Library. Parents must be present with their child to participate in the walk. The walk will begin promptly at 7:05 am to allow students time to get to school on time and eat breakfast.

If you have any questions please contact Parent Liaison Kim Patterson at kpatterson@lexington1.net or 803-821-1610.

Volunteer Orientation

Happy Friday, GES Families! Many of you have asked about volunteer opportunities at GES, and you can find a list of needs and the volunteer form under the Volunteer menu. Our first Volunteer Orientation will be on our first Collaborative Planning Day, Wednesday, September 19, at 8:00 a.m. in the Learning Commons. We hope you can join us for a light breakfast and to learn more about how to be involved here at GES. We will also introduce you to our GES Family Center at this time. Please RSVP to me at 803-821-1610 or kpatterson@lexington1.net, so I can have your visitor pass ready for you when you arrive. We appreciate you and look forward to seeing you on September 19!
